Travel Wishlist || Travel Bucket List 2018

February 16, 2018

Someone has rightly said – “I would have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuffs”.

One of my goals in 2018 is to travel as much as I can. Rather than spending much on clothes or things I would like to spend on travelling and creating memories. Nothing beats the joy of exploring a different country, tasting their local cuisine and experiencing new cultures. Travelling definitely makes you a better and a wiser person! Well, I have not booked anything yet, but these few are on top of my travel wish list. Don’t know if any of these will surely happen but then, fingers crossed!!

If you have watched Black Mirror Season 4 Episode 3 “Crocodile” then you will understand why Iceland is on my list. After watching that episode, I quickly googled the filming location because of the spectacular snowy backgrounds! Moreover, who doesn’t wish to witness the breathtaking Northern Lights. Riding a  gorgeous Icelandic horse, taking a dip in Blue Lagoon and Whale watching, I want to see it all!!

I am a true Game of Thrones fan, and Dubrovnik is basically ‘King’s Landing’! Not only the city is rich in history, it has also played host to lot of sets for Game of Thrones. Be it Cersei’s iconic Walk of Shame or King Joffrey’s wedding (death too) location, Dubrovnik seaport (better known as Black Water Bay for GOT fans) I am definitely visiting Dubrovnik even if it just for GOT! And of course how can I forget to mention the remarkable Gothic & Renaissance architecture of the city!

Leh Ladakh

Leh Ladakh has been on my travel bucket list since so long, and I wish to make it happen in 2018! The Zanskar Valley, Pangong Lake and The Nubra Valley are considered the most beautiful parts of Leh Ladakh. This is perhaps the best place to be away from the hustle and bustle of people and enjoy the sheer scenic beauty of bright blue skies, snow caped mountains and breathtaking view of lakes. I want to enjoy my vacation the way it meant to be enjoyed – no internet, no phone calls! And that can happen only in a place like Leh (due to limited connectivity) as I have a habit of checking my phone every two minutes!

Morocco is undoubtedly the most colorful country one can ever visit! I want to stay in a Riad which are traditional Moroccan houses that are often turned into small hotels. Sipping Mint tea and savoring their pastries is all on my mind right now! Picture perfect landscapes, delicious food, beautiful architecture – there is so much to see and do in Morocco. And of course, how can I forget the cats!

I can only imagine crystal clear blue-green water, white sand, me lying in a hammock and sipping my drink while in Maldives! Better if its a luxury resort :p

London is the most popular cities in the world, and I have n number of reasons to visit this iconic city! One of them is to watch a Wimbledon match!

Do you have any Travel Wish List, share with me in the comments 🙂
